Anne Beigneux obtained a PhamD and a PhD at the University of Paris XI, France. Her postdoctoral training was in lipid metabolism, first at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, and then at a UCSF-affiliated research institute. In 2004, she accepted a faculty position at UCLA. Her laboratory research focuses on intravascular lipolysis, with particular emphasis on the molecular mechanisms underlying interactions between lipoprotein lipase (LPL) and its transporter GPIHBP1.
